Hallucination Rates
Command R+ achieves a 1.8% hallucination rate on our enterprise benchmark—the lowest of any model we've tested. For comparison: GPT-5.2 hallucinates at 3.5%, Claude 4.6 at 2.4%, Gemini 3 Pro at 4.1%.
More impressively, when Command R+ doesn't know something, it says so. Its 'I don't have enough information to answer this' responses are 3x more frequent than GPT-5.2's, but each response it does provide is far more trustworthy.

Limitations
Command R+ is a specialist, not a generalist. Its creative writing is mediocre, its general knowledge is narrower than GPT-5.2, and its reasoning on abstract problems lags behind both OpenAI and Anthropic's flagships.
The model also has a relatively small 128K context window compared to Gemini's 2M. For processing very large documents or document collections, chunking strategies are required.
